Ode to Home...
I'm so excited to go home...
So over the cold. It snowed again. Its been under 30 degrees the past couple days. Spring? I wish.
I won't miss walking uphill to get home.
I won't miss spending so much time alone. At home I'll never be bored cuz there's other people!
I won't have to worry about eating too much at meal time cuz my family will help me. And I won't eat out of sheer boredom cuz I'll be busier.
Hopefully I can get a job. Like within a week after I'm home so I can make money for the mish... (To buy clothes, makeup, stuff I need for the mission)
It will be warmer (usually) and I can go on walks and enjoy the smell of pine trees and sunshine.
I can visit my grandparents! I really miss them.
Did I mention I won't have time to be bored? Yeah, I'll really enjoy that.
No school!!! Super excited for that, letsbehonest.
Laundry is free of cost. Don't have to pay for food.
Get to hang out with my brothers! And parents! Yay family time :)
Nice wood fire to sit in front of when it is cold.
I can take baked goodies to people because I actually know people in my hometown.
My daddy will whistle. I can smell fresh bread in the oven. I can sleep on my airbed!
I can actually crank out my mission papers!!!
The shower isnt tempermental- doesnt freeze my rear end and then scald me the next moment.
No ants! Ants are gross on the kitchen counter :(
I have books to read! Crafts to make! Rooms to clean!
No washing ALL my dishes by hand. Can I get a hand for dishwashers? Love modern technology.
No propane stove! That melts my cooking utensils and makes them ugly...
People I can relate to with similar backgrounds (middle class, republican, etc.)
Now, dont get me wrong all these things I'm fine with. I can deal. I'm not complaining. Butttt it will be nice being home :) Mostly cuz of my family. Though I will have to learn how to drive again haha its been a few months... And it will be weird being back in WA where everyone isnt Mormon. It was culture shock coming here, now it'll be culture shock going back haha.
I'm so excited :) Less than 3 weeks!

So I'm a Carboholic...
I love carbs. Pasta yes, tortillas yes, but especially bread. Too bad consuming mass amounts of bread isn't really the healthiest diet. Ehh, I can wish right ;)
Anyway, when you bake alone you indulge a little more than you should (another bonus of being home! Family helps eat baking projects and saves you from eating half the loaf...)
Today I experimented and made Honey & Butter Pull Apart Bread.
Doesn't look the best, I'm still playing with bread dough... Yeast is tricky stuff.
But! It tastes SO good :) Fairly easy to create too.
Another form of bread I love is biscuits.
So flaky and buttery and comforting.
And awhile ago I made chocolate banana bread. It was heavenly.
Especially the second day when all the flavors had time to blend.
Mmmmm. Feast your eyes.
I hope all you other carboholics enjoyed this.

Reality
1) Went to the doctor because I've been having some health problems... Find out I'm "underweight." Funny, I don't feel underweight. Like I said in my last post, I feel gross. Never thought I'd be one with such severe self image problems. They asked if I had an eating disorder? No, I eat. I love food. Love to cook and bake. The problem is I guess roughly 1000 calories a day isnt enough, even for a sedentary girl. Sooo there's that. But I ate suuuper unhealthy this weekend, like its embarassing, and I gained 3 pounds!
2) Alex can email me nowwww! So happy about that :) He's in Texas and loving it so far!
3) School is almost over! Stressful, but so exciting! Only 3 more weeks! I'm telling ya, these classes could kill me... Make me so frustrated. Let's not even get me started on writing research papers...
4) I get to go home for Easter! Well, for a day, but hey, I take what I can get :)
5) It's time for it to be spring here. I'm tired of this 32 degree windy weather crap. At least most of the snow has melted.... and now theres a lot of brown dead grass.
6) I have an addiction to peanut butter. I can eat it straight out of the container. Sorry if thats nasty to you, its just what I do. Mmmm peanut butter :)
